I've been watching the Halloween series again. I always watch the original on Halloween night, but I might skip that for something else this year. I started last week with Halloween II and just finished The Curse of Michael Myers. First time I ever watched the producer's cut of that one. I honestly don't remember too much about the theatrical version, but at least this cut attempts to make more sense of the whole Cult of Thorn thing (it's still not a good idea, but it's explained somewhat better here). Has anyone seen this version? My only question about this movie's ending is this -- did Loomis's mark of Thorn mean he was now the guy in charge of the cult or that he was the new "Michael"?
Honestly, the idea of a slasher with his origins tied into Samhain and a cult of druids isn't bad, but it's awful for Michael Myers. Dude is, and should be, nothing but evil in a mask. No rhyme or reason. Just pure evil.
Not sure if I'll continue with H2O and Resurrection. I really don't like those movies, but if I do, I might as well continue on with the Rob Zombie movies (which I've seen only once).

LOL.. Right!! I watched The Collector this weekend and started to watch the first 20 mins of The Collection (up to the rave club scene) and had to press pause on that for another day..... that was enough deadly traps and indiscriminate torture for one weekend alone. I'll finish watching The Collection and Jigsaw for another time, needed a break..
