I always thought Romita Jr was the absolute worst comic artist in the big two, but I just read Daredevil's Cold Day In Hell and Steve McNiven has Romita Jr beat.

That art is so terrible that it's borderline hurtful for my eyes to see.

I understand how Romita Jr gets work. His dad was a big deal so nepotism gets Romita Jr work, but why would a major comic book company hire McNiven?

McNiven is top tier unless his stuff has dropped off from his heydays

Romita Jr. I’ve never gotten the hype. His Daredevil was pretty good just because of the over exaggerated wire work was interesting

I finally read Absolute Joker’s debut, and while I liked the subtle “ this may be his origin” of a twisted Bruce Wayne, the monster form just builds on the trend I hated in recent years of grotesque Joker

Power Fantasy

Power Rangers Prime is a surprisingly fresh take on the franchise, and is the direction I'd love to see the TV reboot go in-- playing on MMPR lore and having similar iconography, but not just rehashing it. The use of the VR Troopers as the antagonists at first had me like but now I'm like

Mad I read that Batman H2SH bullshyt when the last issue isn't even coming out until March and Matt Fraction's run already started. shyt is and rehashes the exact character arcs from Zdarsky's run, which sucked there and were even worse here.

Fraction's run has been very solid so far tho

Read Ultimate Endgame #1 and first of all, the art is fukking atrocious how the fukk you let that book have such a shytty look is beyond me. Secondly, the story was meh,

Ultimates 19 was better but again, the art was not good.

The whole thing feels all over the place for something they've been working towards to at least a year in advance. Not a good look for Camp
