Nah, he just lost his fastball after 2004. Happens to a lot of writers.

Look at his early crime/street level/Spider-Man work before Avengers Disassembled, and you'll find a lot of good material there.

Marvel trying to put him on literally every property they had ruined him, mostly because he only really had a voice for criminal/seedy-types and teenagers; once he had to write more conventional superhero comics like New Avengers, he was basically out of his depth and that kind of extended to his other material as well (even his new Jinxworld stuff isn't really on the level of stuff like Jinx and Torso). Dude should probably take a break from writing comics (or at least superhero comics) altogether and recuperate from 15-plus years of overextension, but the industry isn't strong enough to allow for that, and probably never will be again.
And he always infuses his wack sense of humor into the dialogues of his characters and it’s annoying. He’s not funny. He’s no Peter David.

An under-the-radar task force spearheaded by the King of Wakanda with the help of General Okoye, the Agents of Wakanda introduce their very own brand of covert operations as the Wasp, Ka-Zar, and Gorilla-Man come together to take on threats across realities...

I’m reading Siege; finished ish 2. It’s not bad like the posts I read. :ld:

Also finishing up the Dark Avengers series. Sentry’s backstory is cool. :ehh:

Why did/does Bendis have a hard-on for him? :pachaha:

Is Panther and Kazar friends? I never see them interact

i cant remember if tchallas been to the savage lands before recruiting him, but i know hes aware of his existence

They have interacted before. It was in a Captain America story from the 90s. T'Challa and Ka-Zar even fought in those issues.

Bendis would always like certain characters and then push them obsessively (while writing them like trash). The Sentry is one of them, The Hood as well. And of course his whole Dark Avengers run is basically a rip-off of Ellis' Thunderbolts without the wonderful psychology, the constant dread of madness and the all-around all-present fukkery.

I actually just finished the run. I liked Dark Avengers a lot. I never checked the OG T-Bolts. Didn’t it use lesser known villains?

Siege was cool. Nothing amazing, but it was worth the dollar books. And I never knew shyt about Sentry, but he was fine in this run.

I just had an interest in his version of the Cabal, so that’s why I checked out that run. :ld:
