Yeah, in-laws downsizing, own the house and we'll pay em cheap rent until they transition. Also I'm 41 with 2 kids, so I'm in chill mode

Well it’s a great place to live ( kinda ratty especially near metro stations) but also near the Zoo so even in Adams Park expect to hear Lions and elephants roaring.

I guess you’ll get used to it but it tripped me out when I’d be up in Adams Morgan hearing Lions roar.
I've been in the area a lot since being married, but never heard any animals bruh and the house is about 4 blocks away. I'll ask if my wife if she heard any while growing up there.
You are right about the rats though. My father in law been going to war with them for years in the drive/allyway behind the house. Never really mentioned them being in the house though.

Maybe they fixed the problem with the zoo but I remember hearing them.

They could have soundproof barriers.

I kinda don’t understand rats I went back after years being gone and It’s like New York fukking Rats all over the place used to not be like that.

I know in the hoods a couple of outside cats keep the rodent population in Check go to Georgetown and see Rats all over the place.

Same thing in PG County don’t see Rats.

City is fukking up not nearly the density of New York nor the amount of Trash so why the massive rat popuation?

Here in Cali seen a rat like once seems like a situation when a city gets too big

crazy that there’s not much house infestation if Rats are literally in the yard maybe you just ain’t seeing them. Invest in a Cat or a Terrier breh.

Youre In laws are white? Because at the cost of living at the park the average DC cat would get a Mc Mansion in Bowie for that.

Yea that’s why I’ve moved away multiple times for work and always move back.
Where did you move to?

I think in general most transplants end up moving back to their hometown.

Folks complain about their hometown just to end up moving back.

Wife's Greek(so yeah). I honestly, wouldn't want to live in a mansion. The bigger the house, the more to maintain, landscaping and I don't wanna deal with looking for a new house as getting our current house was stressful enough with the arguments between us. We will just renovate what we want in the place and call it a day. It has a good school district with a spanish immersion class. Just hate the fact I won't be living near a homedepot anymore if we make the move.

A Virginia Boxer by the name of Keyshawn Davis was recently scheduled to fight in his hometown this Saturday along with his two brothers but end up not making the allowed weight for the fight. As a result of that the main event fight gets called off, 2000+ people asks for a refund, lost his champion title belt and lost out on 1 million dollars.

If that's not already enough he jumped the guy that beat his brother fairly in the ring not once but TWICE. Once in the locker room and another in the arean's hallway.

Norfolk is that ghetto?
