Good storm. Reminds me of the December 2009 storm if anyone remembers that one. We were due for this one.

December 2009 to February 2010….Snowmageddon, who could ever forget that monster I was on winter break during my senior year of high school and I think me and the fam were vacationing down in Massanutten at the time it happened.

We were definitely overdue for this particular blizzard since we haven’t had one in 3 years, plus this has been the warmest winter on record for us I believe so usually when that happens, I often expect Mother Nature to have something in store for us in the early part of the new year. I honestly didn’t think it would be this soon tho because I thought this blizzard was gonna occur in March knowing how much Nature likes to troll us during the official start of the Spring Equinox.

I'd guess possibly tomorrow. Snow is going to stop but all the slush is going to become ice as it turns into night. Been watching live coverage all morning and even drivers with AWD vehicles are getting stuck

Last I saw on Fox 5, 301 up in Clinton looked a hot mess. Even had a whole 18-wheeler truck with them hazardous liquid containers on top sliding from the snow and sleet amongst the multi-car crash

Ahhhh! Finally, a decent snow!


It's been a min since we last had one. Funny, I just said a couple days ago in that Lake Tahoe snow thread I wanted a nice snow...didn't even know we were getting this so...prayers answered I guess

2009 I was working for TSA and got stranded at the airport.

I lucked out and spent the night with one of the airline ticket agents in a hotel.
