Apple signed a $20 million deal with him, they're not about to let him fail. His popularity is still crazy, but even if it wasn't, just off the strength of Apple his sales aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Considering the majority of record sales are done through itunes I can't imagine it would be very hard for them to manipulate the numbers. Not saying that's definitely going on, but it also isn't out of the realm of possibility considering labels have been buying up their artists' records for years.

How many times do a vast majority of us have to mention that we know Drake isn't finished on a Mainstream/Top40 aspect but his legacy as an MC is tarnished ... this isn't some shocking revelation breh :manny:

I'm a Drake fan and I never seen him as a top level MC like that anyway. Most haters used to say he ain't a good MC anyway. So nothings changed.

Kendrick the popular Gawd MC of this generation. Drake the hitmaker, his ability to make catch, easy on the ear shyt always been the pull.

Chance the rapper and UK Rapper Stormzy also have Apple Deals and their own shows now :blessed:

i dont understand yall... you guys hate on meek all the time yet you stay talking about him?

especially you.. you the one telling people to talk about rappers they like and not criticize Drake yet you keep meek in your mouth and in all your keyboard shortcuts.

Drake topping charts isnt surprising.

:leon:

This is the first documented instance I've seen of this particular narrative. .. sure it's an evolution of the old tried and true "somebody sold more than I wished they did, so the label bought it " trope, but innovative nonetheless

Song is weak, it's almost a parody Drake record, same boring ass beat, empty wannabe Jay z raps mixed in with some limp wristed shyt sassy black women can sing along to. I really wonder how much longer his run will last, dudes been done artistically.
