Bonucci is a terrible defender, all he can do is ping the ball 50-60 yards. And remember he was protected because he was played in a 3 next to Barzagli and Chiellini.
Both Pioli and Ibra have helped the team. I'm still unsure about Pioli just because his history has a pattern of starts well and then it hits a wall and crashes about 18-24 months in. I would say Ibra influence is probably bigger only because he is playing and is a role model and known winner and he trains and looks after himself as one. Which sets the tempo for everyone else to follow. You cannot be in your 20's with next to none pedigree and be a lazy trainer then see Ibra come into training early do his stretching and then work just as hard on the pitch and think youre doing enough. Ibra has changed the culture and mindset.
Will also say that Paolo and Ivan the terrible need some credit, Boban also. Ivan wanted to only sign young players with high sell on value. Paolo and Boban made Ivan see the bigger picture. In Italy you need a level of experience to navigate the league, especially if you want to make the CL. So at the moment there is the blend of youth and good experience.
