This shyt looks like it's tearing all the leagues apart, NBA, NFL and European football now too so seems more contagious at the moment than previous variants. UK posted it's highest positive cases a few days ago

Only issue with a break/circuit reset is that players would still be around family members etc and not really being isolated in a bubble to prevent re-infection. Also, no way the season end in May 2022. PL might have to push it to end of June to get all these games done in a safe manner. Gonna be a lot of tired and injured bodies in the WC next year.
