His line up from the start was questionable, also, the team never got out of 1st gear I feel.
Leverkusen also doesn’t seem to do well with physicality and intensity.

I watch a lot of Serie A and am a Roma supporter. I also watch too damn much footy. But the last few week I had been seeing a bunch of Atalanta and Leverkusen matches. Atalanta did not deviate in their attacking principles. Gasperini loves using the half space in the attacking phase. All season they play quick intricate passing in those spaces and teams can't cope. Lookman is Gasperini's ace. That man is the main offensive cog.
On defense they shut down Bayer's main chain of buildup. Frimpong, Wirtz, Xhaka, and Palacios. Bayer wasn't able to handle the high intense press
