Arsenal mandem, I think y’all should look at Cesc if you depart with Arteta. What mans has done with Como this season is very impressive.

For Serie A, granted the table finishes as is in MD 38, my manager of the season award is as such:

1) Conte
2) Raineri
3) Cesc

If not Cesc, perhaps Iraola

Yeah not getting a stop gap striker was crazy. Even Real Madrid got Joselu and he did well for them.

Larson has had a respectable first season in the Prem no lie

They didn't need a stop gap striker before the January windows closed. They needed an upgrade.

Then the window closed and they lost Jesus and Havertz soon after. The need changed from upgrade to stop-gap. That said, a stopgap doesn't really change the result of the CL semifinal IMO.

BTW, Arteta is going nowhere. They'd be absolute fools to sack him, even with all his near-misses. He lost to one of the few managers in Europe today that's unequivocally better than him.
Kse sacked Malone who’s a more proven coach than arteta…do u think these results are acceptable for a manager being paid more than Real Madrid and Barca managers?

Malone?

Simeone gets paid more than Real and Barca managers, who cares about that?
Malone is the nuggets coach who won them a title

Simeone deserves that pay coz he has no business winning anything and yet he did

It's funny you say that because I was wondering how many managers of major clubs in Europe kept their manager after 5 trophyless seasons in the 21st century.

I honestly can't think of anyone outside of Arteta and Wenger :mjlol: . It's very telling.

Arteta isn't trophyless.
Read again. I said after 5 trophyless seasons. Who gets appointed a job for life because you won a FA Cup 6 seasons ago?

I'm serious. None of the Big 6 in EPL have let that happen(Chelsea, Spurs, City, United, Liverpool). Even Poch got to 5 trophyless seasons and was sacked. La Liga? Of course Barca and Real wouldn't let that happen. Simeone is season 4 in trophyless (After actually winning the league in '21).

Bayern? PSG? Juventus? Milan? Inter?

I can't find another example in top flight European football this century. Can you? Why is Arsenal the anomaly?

Those managers don't sack managers because they don't win trophies. They sack them because clubs under their watch aren't progressing or they lose the dressing room. Development of players stall, or they drop so many points over a sustained period of time that they risk missing out on Champions League qualification. Stability is an underrated quality in a manager, and Arsenal are a stable club. They still pump out potential stars at an impressive clip.

Yeah, Arsenal need to make a big splash up front. They also need a new left winger because Martinelli isn't good enough.

Sport fans have short memories. They seem to forget where Arsenal was before Arteta. If they change him they need to change him with the right guy, we dont want to be in the same position as United or Spurs
Its not like this club was wining the Epl every other year in the prime Wenger years.
Its easy to say 'buy a striker"..
Show me a top striker and a team who is willing to sell him

The same with Barca...Flick did an amazing job. No stadium, financial troubles and loads of young players. Sometimes you just fall short...
It still pisses me off the way they lost tho :mjcry:
