Nah. No way. Can’t be the most Jamaican while praying for the country to fail to qualify. Born and raised in Jamaica?
All of us Jamaicans know about corruption but I have never once heard a Jamaican wish for failure for the nation because they are that concerned about corruption. That sounds wild. Jamaicans on the rock and abroad will go crazy if/when we qualify for the World Cup. Not one Jamaican will be sitting there tomorrow night praying for us to lose for any reason at all. Especially not the reasons you provided.
On another note, as a Jamaican, how the hell did you find yourself supporting Manchester City?!?! Are you under the age of 25? Have to be. Not one Jamaican in their 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, etc grew up supporting City. They were nonexistent to us. United (we love to jump on the bandwagon of winners), Liverpool (John Barnes) and Arsenal (London, connection to black players) are the top 3 English clubs for Jamaicans.
Who did you support before City became relevant in the last decade?
