its called "generations" breh some generations are better than others and that will always happen...i dont get your point...all the big nations always have quality players and develop them thats why they are the "big" nations..but some generations are better than others in certain things not in everything...
as for the club thing again you talking about competition between big and small clubs and that has to do with "money" not lack of talent...the teams with most money snaps the best player..its that simple the talent is not as spread out as before...but it goes back to my point about globalization of the game and the tv/money aspect not lack of talent
In comparison to their peers yes they are great but in comparison to the older generations not so much, outside of Germany and Spain very few of the big name teams have maintained that and for Spain this is their first cycle of success so they are basically the standard bearers. I just dont see any exponential increase in production of quality players just because of the reasons you mentioned like globalization or even professionalism. The athletes are fitter yes but without even going country by country the 2006 Italian team was better than the 2012 one, not at everything perhaps but probably as an all round team.
