Donovan is a very old 32. He's been playing professionally since he was 17. Dempsey played 5 less years and even though he's been around just as long as Donovan, Beasley has played in 100 less matches.

Again like @Grams said...why waste a roster spot on a dude who is washed + doesnt give a fukk. Its one thing if dude is washed and can offer something..but his best asset was his ability to take players on, and he hasn't done that in quite some time. Giving Julian Green a shout kills two birds with one stone. You get a young players feet wet on the international stage..and gives the squad some badly needed pace. Donovan has a LOT of wear on them tires. Dude has played a shytload of games....hes washed. The sooner yall nikkas realize it the better itll be.
