OK, I know I'm two days late on this, but the Ajax/PSV match was WILD. I avoided spoilers (not hard to do for the Eredivisie when you're in the United States) just to watch this game, and everything just blew up with that Ajax red card in the second half.
I feel like Eredivisie has the best implementation of VAR. They seem to always get the call right when it's used, and it's used quickly. VAR had a good day in this game as well. I don't know what it is about how the Eredivisie uses it, and obviously I only get access to two or three Eredivisie matches a week, so I'm working with a small sample size, but that's how I feel. Neither ref wasn't great outside of VAR either and the linesperson flagged PSV for offside when he shouldn't have because otherwise VAR would have verified onside in the event of a goal.
Also, I love the aggressiveness of Ajax's keeper Andre Onana. He is not afraid to go after the ball when it's in the air. I've seen Ajax play probably fifteen or sixteen times this year, and he's always attacking the ball.
