something about this show makes me not turn away. I think the show is awful, the writing is poor, and its so over the top that I cannot say its melodramatic, but I cant stop watching.

And its not because of Kerry Washington, even tho thats why I started watching.

Yeah the writing is very formulaic, very soap-esque about it. But I do like the fact that every character is ruthless and has their own agenda. But the show does comes off a bit of a clusterfukk as all the different subplots, lead thus far to the main plot. When good written show uses some subplots as set-ups for later on down the line for other seasons.

I was hooked on House of Lies after the first scene when Marty (Cheadle) woke up with his ex-wife's (Dawn Olivieri) ass in his face.

The only shows that actually had a good run was Lost and 24 and I didn't like either one of them. Oh the office was good too until it got ran into the ground

I dont watch the drama/action shows though. Most of them are crap. Its all about HBO, Showtime, and Starzz for me.

I like watchin shyt. I watch them for what they are, escapism. Dont really have to think that hard, just sit back and enjoy them. Sometimes you can pick up some useful stuff from those shows, like House, Mentalist, Lie to Me, on how to read people.

I'm a dialogue & character guy. If you have a character I can give a fukk about, then I'll invest my time into the show. if the show has great dialogue, its when you find a show that doesnt use the cliche set ups for conversation between characters

the most bizarre thing is what they set up this year with the election rigging. With that super group they have and all. That shyt is completely weird.

Boss... a lot of people like Spartacus but I think its soft core porn. Now I like my porn, but I wasnt watching Spartacus to see a porno. Not really sure what the plot is a lot of the time. I stopped watching midway through the first season. It was nice seeing Lucy Lawless naked tho... if only it was during the Xena Warrior Princess era
