Just got back from Gangster Squad brehs
Trailers were a bit shyt, a continuing theme.
Jude Law in Merck: The Movie.
Halle Berry plays a 911 operator who decides to go rogue and attempt to stop a serial killer.
That Schwarzenegger movie...which honestly I probably wouldn't mind seeing? It takes place on the Mexican border and has a car which looks like a Dodge which is the fastest car in the world or something. Sure.
Gangster Squad. It's like everyone came together and was like, "Hey guys...fukk it...let's just make a really shytty movie"
Sean Penn was hilarious. Just the first scene is fukking hilarious. Very punny that guy. "Henchmen...you know the DRILL!!!" Henchmen proceed to take a power drill and drill a dudes head.
Gosling was like a talkative Driver here...if he was a dikk. Still very simpish don't get me wrong. But many of the scenes just reminded me of Driver.
Nick Nolte had a rubber mask on the whole movie for some reason.
Anthony Mackie was clearly my favorite character. A black cop who happens to be an expert knife thrower? And what is it with people in action movies having tiny knives all over the place? Every henchmen or bad guy always carries a tiny knife that doesn't do shyt.
The Gangster Squad never had a plan for any of the missions they carried out? The very first mission they try to take over Sean Penn's casino and get ran out. Then they go to the shooting range, shoot some guns which I guess is them training...then they go back out and literally carry out the exact same plans of simply running up in Sean Penn's operations but it works now??
idk...Emma Stone was hot I suppose. Got some side boob action. Decent way to waste an afternoon.
It was either that or Zero Dark 30 and that just looks mentally taxing as fukk..not to mention boring.

And how was Sean Penn able to trace the Gangster Squad's trace back to their shack? Unless Sean Penn had a super smart dude gangster?
