This is depressing

We all knew most players never make it..but to go from Man U youth player of the year to being released and struggling to get first team in Plymouth :mjcry:

I knew several players at the academies of top teams (Arsenal & Tottenham). Only one played in the EPL...in a couple of games as a sub for a relegation battling team. These brehs spend their prime youth doing nothing but football...to then be released at 18/19 is fukked up. I don't know how I would cope.

I’ve lost all my faith in Tite, but Globo Esporte dropped a good interview with him today. He talks about the Copa America roster and the future of Seleção.

I just highlighted some of the interesting parts that stood out to me. It’s a long interview, so I’ll add more once I get through it.
Seleção Brasileira | Olho no futuro, sem esquecer o passado

On Firmino:

If you bring on Firmino, he plays inside the area and goes out to make intelligent plays. They call it a fake 9, but for me it's a true 9. Gabriel Jesus plays with depth and bursts. They have different characteristics.

About Vinícius being called up:

Yeah, I thought about it. But He was leaving Flamengo and adapting to Real Madrid without playing or training with the main team, it was a difficult time for him. But I thought about calling him up.

On Rodrygo:

Rodrygo has an impressive lucidity. Vinícius is a physical force, but Rodrygo has the mind of a 25 year-old player.

On Rodrygo:

This man is a fraud, he only recently came to the realization that Firminio should’ve started ahead of Jesus in the World Cup

:ohhh:

Like no shyt all you had to do was see the season Bobby had and how that link up with Coutinho was/is something damn special.

He’s a coward who tries to play it safe so he doesn’t lose his credibility. He started Casemiro against Mexico, and he had got a yellow in the previous game. Casemiro then got another yellow against Mexico and was suspended for the Belgium game.

He didnt bring enough attacking options, and the ones he did bring were injured, like Douglas Costa, who is a true threat, but wasn’t fit the entire tournament. He brought Taison who wasn’t even used, he could’ve brought Malcom who is another left footed attacking winger.

Tite continually played Willian during the World Cup, who saw less and less games durint qualifiers because m other players were producing far more than the Chelsea man.

I can go on for days

Agreed, on every point. I get angry whenever I think about the WC, because the talent was there. Tite’s mismanagement was the problem.

The tide of public opinion is turning on him though and rightfully so. If he doesn’t bring the Copa America home next year he might not make it to Qatar. Talent wise there won’t be a better team in the tournament, but we’ll probably end up getting knocked out by Japan or something.

They have an interested buyer from Abu Dhabi :gladbron:

All this oil money talk and both United and Liverpool have been linked with buy outs from middle eastern oil sheikhs. Their entire fan bases will use that oil as fuel to combust from their hypocrisy.

besides the :mjpls: factor what's the difference between being owned by a Middle Easter Oil Sheikh vs. An American Businessman?
