Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho says it is an "absolute joke" he has been fined by the German football league after being pictured having a home haircut without wearing a mask.

England forward Sancho's team-mate Manuel Akanji has also been fined after they were deemed to have broken rules.

The league said the players had "obviously violated general hygiene and infection protection standards".

Sancho, 20, criticised the decision in a short Twitter post later on Friday.

Dortmund had defended the players, saying they had not breached the Bundesliga's health and safety rules.

German newspaper Bild posted the news on its Twitter account on Friday with the offending picture.

The Football Association sings about having the only fully professional league in Europe, but Liverpool, a founding WSL side, have only 10 employees listed in their accounts for 2019. Five “players, managers and coaches” and five “administration, commercial and other”.

In the season before a record-breaking financial year for the club (as a whole) was announced, with it posting a turnover of £533m and pre-tax profits of £42m, Liverpool could not, or would not, afford the players in its women team contracts that would amount to more than a 20-hour week.

If ever there was an example of just how hollow the anthem You’ll Never Walk Alone is, this is it. Perhaps alongside the decision to furlough 200 staff, before being embarrassed into a u-turn.

That's a bit unfair on John. Someone sent me a non-porn image in WhatsApp the other day, along with 4 porn images (containing some hugly, hugly women), with no comment. I am not sure if it was accidental or not. I didn't say anything and I didn't delete them immediately.

On another occasion a business associate (creh) sent me some "we whites are losing the country" type images and it was clearly by mistake. Again I didn't say anything to him and I didn't delete them immediately.

In short its possible that someone sent them to him and he just didn't bother to delete them straight away.

He's 56, doesn't know how to crop images and wears glasses. I'm guessing someone like that is not going to be saving and watching porn images on his relatively unintuitive and relatively small phone. It's a more youthful demographic that uses their phone like a computer.
