This is why I say bush the league cup for years and make it an 18 team league. Those midweek slots could be used for PL fixtures. And then have the break between the FA Cup 3rd and 4th rounds.

From after the international break in November till the FA Cup 3rd it's like a third of the season takes place in those 6-7 week window.

I'm all for scrapping the league cup but reducing the league to 18 teams seems extreme

Couldn't we just copy the scheduling that the other European leagues have?

The pace and intensity of the PL it needs to be reduced to be 18 teams. Playing in the PL is like dog years on the athletes body. Also there are too many teams just happy to be in the PL. The league needs more jeopardy

The PL ain't doing shyt till the government forces them too because of the TV money. And the government atm is so under fire they frightened about doing another lockdown the economy has them shook.

Don't do that. I'm sick and tired of this narrative with Martinelli and Tierney that Fans and Martin Ape Man Keown keep on pushing. Those 2 need protecting from themselves especially after coming back from injury. They only play at 1 pace and that fast and furious and get stuck in. If they aren't managed slowly back into things they will get injured again. Yeah Martinelli could of been used a bit more this season but any Arsenal fan telling me they ain't everytime when Martinelli or Tierney go down is a liar and I put that on grape.

Martinelli reminds me off Young Van Persie. He was always the main cause off his injuries
