Chelsea turned down the chance to sign him last summer with the idea he needed another year. They signed Saul on loan in the meantime.

Madrid just need a playmaker like modric and they’d be set. Cama-tchou-valverde is a great midfield for next 10 yearsTchouameni is one of those players you watch once and you know he's 100% next. Only injuries can stop him.
As one door closes, another one opens

As good as Cama, Tcho and Verde are Modric's profile is the hardest one to find. Players like him don't come around too often.Madrid just need a playmaker like modric and they’d be set. Cama-tchou-valverde is a great midfield for next 10 years
He's gonna be injured half the time![]()

Is Majer doing well like that? I knew him as a wonder kid, stopped hearing about him, thought he just fizzled outI see Modric's young boy Majer being his replacement for country as well as club.
Real going to exclusively buy from Ligue 1 from now on but never go in for Mbrappe.
That was too sensible a move for these jokers. Now they've lost out him and are being quoted 150m for Rice.Should of signed him and then loaned him back for the season.

Ball twitter is really a cesspit

If Madrid got Mbappe their team would’ve been set for the rest of the decade

I like him as a player but $100 million?
atleast their midfield won't be getting outran now. but they need a ball carrying midfieder that can play between the line (although Tchou isn't too bad at that) after Modric.
maybe Lovro Majer or Caqueret
Thomas Tuchel has been promised that he can take the lead on Chelsea’s transfer business by the club’s new owners in a shift designed to move closer to the Manchester City and Liverpool models.
And that could be good news for Romelu Lukaku’s hopes of re-joining Inter Milan if Tuchel informs Todd Boehly that he believes the club record signing should be allowed to leave Chelsea.
Just as Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp drive decisions over incomings and outgoings at City and Liverpool, the Boehly-led group now in charge of Chelsea have told Tuchel that his voice will be the loudest on transfers and first-team football decisions.
Tuchel is viewed as one of the club’s biggest assets by the new owners, who believe the best way to try to make ground on Premier League champions City and Liverpool is to give the German similar power to that enjoyed by Guardiola and Klopp.
In a meeting with Tuchel, it is understood Boehly made it clear that the new owners will do everything in their power to try to deliver his targets and move on players he does not want - rather than attempting to impose their own transfer ideas.
