Listen I have never been in that position and I can bet my life I will never be in that position Sucks to be them when this is the pinnacle of their seasonNah, it's a loser's mentality because missing out on Champions League has major ramifications. They'll miss out on signing better players, players and manager missing out on ucl bonuses, and it shows the level they feel their club is at. If you want to be a big club then Champions League football is one of the biggest things you need to attract and retain top players. Imagine any top player seeing the happiness to miss out on Champions League football, contract bonuses, extra prize money to boost financial capabilities, fans wanting to lose.... all over another team's potential success.
Arsenal, Man U, Liverpool and all those teams you mentioned are some of the most decorated teams of all time and certified out here. You really think those fans would care about a smaller local rival winning one measly league title in comparison at their expense?
