My thing is, he was a free agent in the prime off his career. Act like a free agent, Fukk sentiment, do your homework and make best the move for you as footballer.
3/4 seasons ago, this move would've been great. But to not even have some discussions with other clubs is a bit silly. There was no transfer fee, so clubs wouldve figured out a way for a player like him. I dont know what club he shouldve gone with instead.
But this should be a lesson to players, even tho it wont be. What are you sentimental for? You have a few prime years. Dont let sentiment get in the way off that.
