My pops maintains strikers are the worse to take penalties. They miss more than they score so they kinda have a attitude. Defenders ( bar Tezza) always have to be on, so they could deal with tension.

I think it's fatigue. It's only his second start all season. It's tough to look fast in a football match, especially CL level, when you aren't completely match fit. Sprint a few times and your legs are gone.
