I have a similar DAC from FiiO too. You guys that are spending money on headphones but not trying this out are missing out BIG TIME.

$35 Monoprice headphones + $50 DAC >>> $300 headphones..

$300 headphones + $100 DAC = scrambled brains and a smile.
People sleep on the Monoprice joints. I have high end headphones but those things always sound good for casual listening.

Got these about 3 months ago.

The onkyos are solid. I've been using them more than my Seinheisser momentums of late, which are also pretty damn good. I find the Onkyo's leak a bit less sound, and are louder at lower volumes than the Seinheissers so I used them in transit mainly. My library is mostly alac\flac, and been converting to q10 OGG for mobile.

These shyts beat though and are mad cheap.:manny:

i might check those out if these bose sound light...i had bought some sony "deep bass" headphones in the past but was kinda dissapointed at the results they wasnt those though
I'm currently using the Fiio E07k DAC/Amp, makes all the difference. Our generation is out here listening to shytty compressed mp3s through shytty laptop/cell phone DACs, through shytty ear buds then calling albums like GFK and Adrian Younge's 12RTD trash, give me a fukking break.

My laptop is already hooked up to a external focusrite sound card which knocks wit my krk8's but im wondering will this improve the headphone experience or will it even be possible to work together because it seems essentially to be a external sound card as well?

It should be able to drive your headphones I believe.

Been having these for about 5 years and they still sound great for mixing. Very natural sound with just enough bass, mids and highs.
