I thought my ATH M50 was dope already but this thing opened up a whole new dimension of sound!

I need to get my M40x’s fixed. One of the hinges is broken. The thing is they’re out of warranty and I dunno if I should pay for a repair or just buy a brand new set of headphones?

Also, does anyone in here have Beyerdynamic headphones and if so, how are they?

Same sound quality. All the M50s are good. I also recommend the Monoprice headphones for $30 if you on a budget. I'd say they're about 90%as good as the Beats Studio. I have both and put them side by side. Also they don't require batteries like the Beats do.

I could do with some help on the headphone amplifier game. Just got an iPhone 7 Plus and I need to fully enhance my music listening experience :blessed:

What would y'all recommend? See the brehs mentioning these Fiio joints?

Just wondering if the 7 Plus may complicate matters a little with the lightning port :patrice:
do you really need an external amp for the iPhone 7? I thought Apple's DAC was the best in the game :ld:

Price is now $16. They're wired and I was comparing the Beats Studio v1.0. The original classic one. I wrote that post a long time ago.

At this point, I'd simply just get a good wireless set of headphones. Though the quality was unbeatable, it's become really inconvenient to carry the DAC and wired headphones. Maybe I'll find something new and better and change my mind again. If only there's a super high quality and powered wireless DAC integrated into headphones.

Those really work? I have some beyerdynamic dt 770 m's. It just amplify the sound or is the quality better too?
I think the quality is better, and there it adds more “life” to the sound.

Btw, how are the Beyerdynamics? I was asking about those on the previous page.

That thing might change my life.

I use them everyday and love them but I don't have much to compare them to. I started with some quiet comforts then beats and then got these when I started mixing and recording. Guy at Sweetwater said they're the best closed ear monitors for that, but he coulda just been gassing me up. I just know they're really true to sound. They could use a boost tho

They've been around forever. Half the smilies on midnight marauders are wearing them.

Indeed. It’s pretty dope!

That’s what’s up. I prefer neutral sounding headphones so the Beyerdynamics sounds like a good choice. I was considering getting those since my ATH m40’s are kinda broken on the hinges. I’ve heard a lot of good things about them.

I think you'll be happy with them. I've had mine for 5 years and they're still going strong.
