Jet magazine predicts Kendrick Lamar for Best Rap Album

"We knew Kendrick was hot way before he laid down those brutal bars for “Control.” He delivered a socially conscious flow and reminded us what good storytelling sounds like with his debut album."

I saw you quoted me before but I was out, don't know if it was in this thread or elsewhere, but whatever it was we all know he is going to win rap album of the year. Sales+critical acclaim+nomination= rap album of the year. Always has been and always will be. I'm more disgusted by the fact that Taylor Swift keeps getting album of the year nominations. That is outrageous.

She finds hip and cool ways to write songs about being a skeezer without admitting she's a skeezer.

You know Taylor Swift's cooking up a smash album when she lets 3 celebrities hit it and quit it.

Taylor letting a celeb smash is the country equivalent to Premo or Nas saying they're in the studio with the other.

Yes, for these reasons.

1. they didn't nominate fukkin Problems for Best Rap Performance. I woulda gave them the edge there, not for Best Rap Song (which is for songwriters-- I'd rather give A$AP Rocky and 2 Chainz a Grammy for how they performed that song instead of what they wrote). IMO they kinda mixed up the nominees for Rap Performance and Rap Song. Switch them and it makes more sense.

2. Let's keep it 100. Thrift Shop was the biggest song on that list AND if any other rapper wrote and sang that, let alone a rapper y'all like, nikkas would write titangraphs about how much of an injustice it would be for a song about not needing to buy overpriced clothing to look fly to NOT win a Grammy.

Change Macklemore & Ryan Lewis to Kendrick Lamar feat. Nate Dogg vocals left in the vault, this forum would explode.

They always set up the nominees like this though. I mean off the top of the dome I don't even know all the nominees, but it looks pretty consistent with history. I don't have a problem with the Macklemore song conceptually, I have a problem with the execution. He often seems like he's talking instead of rapping.

When you read Macklemore's lyrics, you're like   :obama:

When you hear him rap it, you're like :gag: :smh: :merchant:

Other rappers, it's the exact opposite.
