kendrick will win but I think JAY Z should

Dunno man. I still think Hov takes it. I could be 100% wrong, especially since Kendrick dominated this year and typically the biggest album gets the most awards. But Hov out here doing the pre-Grammy parties, doing interviews, apologizing for shytting on the Grammys in the past, etc while Kendrick is 100% silent. Throw in the industry connections and him being the elder artist (something the Grammys tends to favor)...just seems like it'll be his night.

But Kendrick has industry connections too. Google Brocky Marciano, who has been heavily involved with TDE for awhile now. He's been dominating from a manager perspective and now has a Big Job at Interscope. Real nice dude, everyone wants to work with his producers (Cardo, Dahi, etc) and his producers are all over DAMN. If Kendrick wins, a whole lotta folks get to greatly increase their beat fees next year.

I think this is the third year those awards have been televised.
And they lost album of the year every time. Carter III, TPAB and this year???? We'll see. But usually what happens is they give it to you right after you perform.

I don't see it. Kendrick being snubbed is fresher in people's minds than Hov (Blueprint, Black Album, American Gangster) and he's critically acclaimed. Grammys don't necessarily favor tthe biggest seller. Look at the Kanye wins. Look at Beck, etc. I just think it's Bruno or Kendrick. I think it'd be a good look if the OG won to cap off (songwriter's hall of fame, icon award, etc.), but I don't see it. I would love or Nas to finally win next year TBH, to me that's more egregious. I thought him and Winehouse would be enough but Kanye and Jay together were probably never going to lose.

Kendrick should have won aoty for TPAB. Everyone knows this. 4:44 don't come close to Damn. And what's this campaigning shyt y'all talking about? U telling me an average album that was somehow nominated for aoty can beat a critically acclaimed album with sales just cuz the artist campaigned? So we not gonna take into account the quality of albums but how hard u campaign? So u can drop a one track album but if u campaign hard u will win aoty over a 12 track quality album where the other artists didn't campaign? :mjlol:

The last two AOTY winners opened the ceremony. Kendrick is opening the ceremony this year...:patrice:
Y'all stay trying to find trends in this random ass shyt :deadrose:. I could find any Grammy trend I want. The only reason I pointed out what I said is because they want a wide variety of people speaking so if you're already up there, the odds are you won't be up there again. Beyonce knew that last year and read her award speech before AOTY.
