TCD, LR and MBDTF are classics objectively and should have won AOTY. Grad was critically acclaimed and sole millions and still did not win. Very telling imo.

He got shut out of his genre categories, there wasn’t even any splits. That means that the Hip Hop voters put all their support behind Kendrick this year.

So that means they put their support behind Humble for Record Of The Year and Damn for AOTY.

That doesn’t guarantee Kendrick wins either but it DOES pretty much guarantee that Hov DOESNT win...


Hov still got the Icon award this year so he’s not a “loser” and he has 21 Grammys to his name, tied with Kanye for the most of any Hip Hop Artist
