Or he doesn’t like the album

you always get your panties in a bunch when people don’t think about music the same way you do
That’s where ya wrong

if he doesn’t like it, he doesn’t like it. I’m not jay electronica or Jay-Z, I don’t give a fukk lol. I enjoy the album, I’m also a Joe Budden fan and enjoyed the podcast as well as his take and the album I enjoyed

I’m a grown man fam. I’m okay with having my own opinion without losing respect for people who differ. It’s apart of being an adult my g

let me do a Joe Budden type conspiracy which may be more suited to the albums thread but..this was initially a Jay-Z album which became Jay Elec's debut because he did not want a solo album of his to flop. especially after the the album with his wife wasn't as big a success as people would've expected it to be.

:hubie:

the album’s sucks and it’s really some bullshyt tbh

it’s has bad beats, the mixing is awful

the lyrics aren’t even impressive cause you could’ve guess all the content

I don’t trust anyone that claims to love this project. They’re just happy to get some new Jay elect

I'm not a Jay Electronica fan. I liked him enough but never was a fan.
I wasn't waiting around for the album but now its here I loved it.

also, it indirectly tapped into the same feel this collection of artists over the past few years have been doing. kids like Mike, Medhane, Navy Blue, etc..so to feel like my favorite rapper stepped into this little niche scene that I've been enjoying was a nice feeling.

I always ranked Jay Elect highly skill wise. I don't think he displayed it on this particular album. One part I agree with Lupe on for certain is that I do not believe how technically elite you are (won't use master) has nothing to do with producing conventional albums. That's where I think Joe is wrong. Joe is looking at it from a "If you're really great, you have to constantly produce elite level songs", but that and elite level rhyming take two total different talents.

especially so, considering Joe has plenty of songs were the writing is great but one of or all of his voice, delivery and beat choice all get in the way.

I thought the surprise nature of the albumx combined with XXX dying making his sales shoot up, and the Nas thing all damaged the sales of this album which was supposed to come out years earlier
