problem i have with folks saying they're gonna drop the pod (here and on reddit): they still participate in pod-related discussions and ultimately start listening again so they got something to talk about

Yea, it's best to just accept that Joe is a piece of shyt and that you're gonna still occasionally listen, or taper off, or even take a break. It worked while listening to his music and it works now.

Otherwise, you just sound like the mfs on social media people who announce every time they're leaving to return a few wks later lol

Controversy sells. Joe definitely appreciates the day one fans, the later fans, and the people that hate him they are listening just to shyt on him. You’re only helping him by sharing your thoughts on him or clicking on his podcast. I’m not even a big fan of the guy like that and I don’t listen to the podcast nearly as much as I thought see you, but I got friends that so called hate him telling me more about him than I know. I think it’s funny. It’s sucks what happened to Rory and Mal but they’re the reason I stopped listening every week. At this point you just have to hope Joe learned a lesson and will do better as a boss and guy that’s getting to the next level of business.

Exactly They may or may not have been done dirty, Joe is and has always been an a$$hole. I am not taking a side on this matter because I find both of them partially at fault

HOwever them nikkas checked out in 2020 and maybe in 2019. If they werent fukking with the situation they should have bounced, I dont understand how people stick to a job they hate or no longer like doing. I checked out because they brought NOTHING to the show in a long time. I am now more interested in seeing how the pod moves going forward and to see how long before the masses forgets about all of this shyt and he is back cooking. Wait until the next big event happens in hip hop or whatever, it will be slow for a few weeks but they will care to hear his opinion on it

Facts.

Joe the only one getting overly emotional and paranoid over simple business inquiries from friends doing business with him.

I'm starting to feel like Joe started making plans to replace Rory and Mal as soon as the deals started coming in and he realized they would be making more than he felt like they were worth. He had no obligation to do the right thing and fix the behind the scene problems because he can literally pay for both ice and ish for less than he was paying one of the guys, joe even admitted that they would have eventually split up once contracts were up because he was definitely cutting their pay and putting them on salary.
