Yea because spotify wanted it that way when he signed the deal for branding purposes, they went over this. He said on more than one occasion he wished he kept the INTPL name.
Dont forget on the app the name was The Joe Budden Podcast with Rory and Mal. Their name was in the title of the show too.
Wasnt til after they left that he dropped their name.
It can still be seen as an ensemble even with just his name. He will never set up his cohosts to think they are bigger than they are again.

No, I wouldnt. I tune in for the convo involving the different voices(including Joe).
If it was Joe by himself, I would drop it because Joe by himself offers trash/ignorant/uninformed takes for 85% of the topics the pod covers. The other voices keep shyt in check/offer pushback/diff povs. And like I said earlier, a lot of this pod is based on playing off the relationship to Joe.
Barbershop talk doesnt work if it's just the barber running his mouth rambling.
No point in continuing this back and forth on the subject since you dont know what the hell I like and we will probably never see Joe do it by himself anytime soon, if ever.

I think the better argument is that we would more likely watch another iteration of joe and friends versus another rory and mal spin-off with this cast

Think about the current most popular podcast. They typically have at least 2 host, sometimes 3.
The podcast with only one person is either guest based (Rogan, Call Her Daddy, Diary of a CEO) or focused a lot on politics, like Tucker Carlson.

Yep. I think ppl underestimate how hard it is to do a pod by yourself. Cowherd and Ak can be put in the "alone" podcasts too imo. The Herd has a podcast released daily based on the tv show. He the face of FS1 and he has a podcast empire he built with The Volume. Cowherd was bragging about doing 5M podcast downloads a month in like 2020 for the herd(3 hours daily). I know Ak is a streamer but I look it as the same as podcasting, just live
Joe would have to change a lot in regards to his personality/stubbornness if he went the solo route and I dont think he would care to make that change.
I dont think joe would put his ego aside to become a guest based podcast. He done took too many shots at the guest based pods over the years for being beholden to needing guests. He prides himself/his pod on the fact that they make content on their own w/o the need of guests. So if he went the solo route, it would be the podcast in it's current form(covering current events), with only his takes.
