If that was the first clip you ever saw from the JBP, then that’s the perception you’d get :yeshrug:

It’s a two-fold issue. It shows the podcast isn’t as popular as Joe thinks (in certain circles) and it shows Angela Rye needs to do more research
Not necessarily, Andrew Gillum admitted never seeing the show and he had a better grasp on the argument than Angela and Tiffany who were basically questioning why Marc would even be there having a conversation with people beneath him intellectually

I'd add Joe was right that they need to learn to share their friends. Angela and Tiffany sounded like some high school shyt getting jealous because one of their friends is sitting at a different table

Wait what :dwillhuh:

After Joe said it's going out Marc then decided to escalate the situation. You feel bad ?
Yes. I’m not saying he was taken andvantage of or anything. I just don’t think he anticipated this much blowback. Having to defend your job to your friends and your friends to your job is a tough place to navigate. (Not saying Marc doesn’t fukk with or isn’t friends with his coworkers).

I think both sides have a point; Native Land (which objectively is not a good podcast and now has AIPAC shill backstory Sellars on it) is correct in that the show does step on anything intellectual which is doing Marc a disservice.

But they are coming from a place of DC Boule black elitism (especially Angela Rye), not a place of true concern. The attack on Queenzflip (calling him a fool, a pig, saying his doesn’t have intellectual capacity) are how they view black people outside of their circle in general. They have no respect for any black person they don’t deem as an elite (HBCU grad, frat member, worked in DC, etc).

That is why the show is not more popular and why Angela Rye/Tiffany Cross/Bakari Sellars are not well-liked. Andrew Gillum had the most balanced and correct stance imo.

However, Marc is not blameless and neither is Joe. Joe thinks in dollar signs about everything and has never thought having ANY type of responsibility to community. It’s getting worse as everyone heard last week. He wants them to fight so he can monetize it. That’s c00nery and buffoonery.

If you had no idea about the podcast and only saw the clip last week (which many people did), you would think it was some Love and Hip Hop, reality show trash. That’s on Joe for promoting it. Can’t be mad how people consumed it.

Edit: finishing up the JBP, they sound just as corny as Native Land but instead of talking about intelligence, they’re talking about how much money they have. Flip having money from acting like a literal clown is not a flex.

Native Land looks down on the audience based on intellect, and Joe has always looked down on his audience based on money. They are more alike than they are different :mjlol:

That’s not even true though. They’ve given Marc plenty of runway on plenty of topics in his year on the show.

And to act like Native Land is ABOVE the idea of making money is funny. Ish was speaking the exact language they understand.

Judging Marc for being on the JBP while they canoodle with Charlamagne who sits next to and platformed a person who helped elect Trump in Schulz… Angela Rye is full of shyt.

Sound sound sound
Joe is right when he said Marc was a free agent so why didn’t they “take him home” if they were so concerned…

Let’s be honest…Marc caping for his “good friend” Angela rye because he believes every single thing they said on that podcast :mjlol:

Ish comparing intelligence to how much money you got. :dead:

I wouldn’t say plenty of runway. They just really started giving him a few minutes after all of the backlash from the Gaza/Young Thug transition clip.

At the end of the day it’s an entertainment podcast so people should know what they’re getting, and on the other hand Joe can’t get upset if people think it’s low brow.

Promoting a fight like that was on some No Jumper sh*t, which is about as LCD as it gets :mjlol:

He’s been up there for a year dog. They step on all types of topics. That’s the show. He’s gotten plenty of shyt off up there.

I do agree that he shouldn’t have put it out though. I frowned when Joe implied he loves Marc and this is a safe space for him. That wasn’t a move to protect him.

Mona tried to get them to chill minutes before it escalated and Joe said don't tell them nothing, I'm putting this right out. To which Marc said he's comfortable with everything he's saying going out
