A big part of Flip’s game was clowning on Mel. Now that she’s gone, the drop off is clear.
Putting that to the side, Flip openly saying “it’s not my job to research or prepare for the topics” is crazy.
Joe probably put a lot of extra on it but it’s a reason Joe said Flip & Emanny are who Marc don’t care if they make less in order for him to make more.

Flip is just the pod hype man, that’s his role. He just does ad libs and he’s a good A mic when joes not around.
Marc can lead topics but he doesn’t have the charisma flip has. No one else can really match joes energy when he’s not around

Damn this is a good point. Mel's gone, Ice is off limits, Mona don't play that, and Marc will make him look foolish. Flip is kind of boxed in now. What I enjoy from him is he doesn't mind exposing things, taboo topics, or saying stuff he's not supposed to say. It adds a little flair to the show when there's dull moments. Only problem is there's only so many opportunities for that.
