They don’t matter to him but in the context of the pod it’s stands out since when those topics come up, he can’t add anything to the discussion and is silent to the point you forget he’s there.

A big part of Flip’s game was clowning on Mel. Now that she’s gone, the drop off is clear.

Putting that to the side, Flip openly saying “it’s not my job to research or prepare for the topics” is crazy. Joe probably put a lot of extra on it but it’s a reason Joe said Flip & Emanny are who Marc don’t care if they make less in order for him to make more.
