both came on for free because they wanted to be there you can't complain in hindsight shyt make no sense . the unpaid years were before the deals. how can you get paid with no deals? you realize mostly every podcast start off doing it free. drink champs, combat jack etc until they get sponsors and an eventual deal... the upaid years are part of the process that's why they got spotify monies and the money they were getting now for sticking it out. their discrepancy is in claiming that they should have ownership of whatever it is they built together. joe believe the network is his solely. you arguing about the grind process at the start makes no sense.

same reason why Gillie and them fired their engineer cuz dude tried to bill them back to the start of the pod after they got a deal. after they had all grinded for free to make a come up he didn't want a salary of 70k he wanted a part of the show and to be paid for his studio usage from day one.

situations are very similar. this isn't a joe thing

combat jack show fell apart when the money came as well...

I am well aware of the growing pains of a blossoming podcast. The problem is that you’re not putting this in context of Joe Budden and the shyt he preaches.
The podcast was consistently getting 100,000+ views on YouTube well before Spotify was a consideration, and still Joe denied the request to share those funds. Joe is all about the creator yet he let two creators who are also his boys work without compensation while having the means to pay them. It’s funny that you mention Gillie and Wallo, when Joe practically said he didn’t like what Gillie did to Dev.
Joe complains about underhanded business because he’s not the one doing the underhanded shyt. This man is heading a creator’s equity department but won’t let his friends in on the business aspect of a podcast that they helped him build. You arguing for some snake ass shyt.
