Joe berated us for like 3 hours about Spotify being bad for creators for not offering him equity but Rory and Mal cant ask for equity in a podcast they were a integral part of during its actual growth phase? Joe out his hypocritical mind.

nah, for real the last minute of the pod wit Bill Withers just finishing playing and him doin the drops and saying

that was is foul and funny as hell at the same time because you can hear him start to laugh before it cuts off.

Being in your 40s calling someone you worked with and called a friend, a piece of shyt especially in reference to seeing you for the birth of your child. Something wrong with this guys head.

Its not crazy at all, lots of people require ownership %'s when signing on to pods/jobs. Y'all just don't like rory which is ok, but nothings crazy about wanting a share % in something that you help make money. He'd be stupid to just take a flat fee especially this far down the line.

I'd expect them all to own SOMETHING once it went major.

Now while it was smaller sure, nah.

But to sink your own ship... Hope the ends justify the means.


I doubt it will, it's not even really making headlines like that. If it wasn't for me following joe on twitter I wouldn't even know.

Why is this so wild to people? Rory was there from very early on and helped build that podcast and didn't get paid for years.
To me the podcast is about Joe, Rory and Mal. Them podcasting together built that platform.
The show wasn't nearly as good with Marissa. Mal brought a spark, even if people no longer see it.
I don't think they should be even partners with Joe, but asking for partial ownership of a podcast that they helped build isn't crazy.
