The Cleveland cavaliers was worth hundreds of millions of dollars and creating revenue way before bron step foot there.
JBP wasn’t making a dime before Rory and Mal.
You’re missing the point
they were signed employees.
end point.

nikka they didn’t build it. They werent even there from the beginning. They came in LATER bro. They shouldn’t own shyt of his and it was ridiculous for them to think they should. They should’ve been positioning themselves to be owners of their OWN endeavors but they weren’t. They were trying to piggy back off JOE’s shyt and own that. The Joe defenders are missing the key point....Joe has been preaching about giving back ownership to the creators and making everything fair.
His co-hosts who built this platform with him have backed him all the way, but turns out they're being treated the same way Joe was preaching against.
How you guys can not understand this is ridiculous, do you even listen to the show? lol
What makes Joe more of a creator in the context of the podcast tho? Ya'll laugh and argue with each other for 3 hours. That's the extent of the creativity. Mal and Rory got funny moments compilations on youtube just like you do. The idea that Rory and Mal aren't creators is some Joe logic bullshyt.
nikka cause he actually created it. They didn’t. They weren’t there from the beginning. Mal himself got there at the damn near 100th episode.nikka they didn’t build it. I been reading through this thread and I am amazed people dont get it.... he could have given Mal and Rory even 5 percent equity each..
Y'all perspectives on this is weird. The revenue that this show brings in is based on Joe, Mal and Rory talking. That's where the money comes from. Giving Joe all that credit is silly. I always thought that they were partners, until Joe started talking about the business.
Here's another thing, that podcast generated a lot of money. Enough money where everyone got paid and Joe is trying to fund an entire Network from the money that their podcast generates.
I think that was Rory's point, he doesn't care about a podcast network. Why is revenue from their show going to fund a network of podcasts? How much money is 'their' show really generating? Seeing how this all went down it's probably more than they were told.
nikka that’s YOUR fault u thought they were partners. They didn’t build it. They didn’t create it. Mal wasn’t even there from the beginning of it. He was hired after other people got fired. They weren’t the first fired employees of the podcast. Marisa Mendez would have ownership rights if that’s the case. She tried to get paid off retroactive episodes and got dubbed. They were getting paid. They were paid employees. And he was paying them more than their contract. So...what am I missing? U build something. U hire employees. They don’t get to own the fukking business. LolSo they created content for 300+ episodes, tours, live shows, guest interviews, built up a brand and consumer base.........yet Joe owns all of that.
Joe's worse than Spotify lol
Well then I don't want to hear no more creator or equity rants from Joe.They were getting paid. They were paid employees. And he was paying them more than their contract. So...what am I missing? U build something. U hire employees. They don’t get to own the fukking business. Lol

nikka the Podcast wasn’t his idea. But it was his execution. Rosenberg suggested Joe do it. Joe went and made the steps to get it done. Neither Rory nor Mal have done this. Are u saying Rosenberg should have ownership?Man..but Joe already admitted that the podcast wasn't his idea and neither was Everyday Struggle.
Just as I would expect Ak to want ownership of Everyday Struggle (if it were a regular podcast), I expect Rory and Mal to want some ownership of the JBP
Did u not hear him speaking on how Spotify didn’t even really give a fukk about Mal and Rory? And how they didn’t even want them nikkas on the billboard in NYC? It’s HIS shyt bruh. They weren’t employees. These companies didn’t even look at them the way y’all trying to paint them. Lol. This is madness. LolThey definitely helped build it. The show makes money based on Joe, Mal and Rory talking. They didn't generate revenue before that.
I would be interested to hear from Rory and Mal on this, because its clear we weren't being told everything the last few weeks when they came back and we've only heard Joe's side.
Mal is right though....listening to Joe talk this week he didn't respect them.
