NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Well then I don't want to hear no more creator or equity rants from Joe.

He's an employee for whichever DSP he's signed to and nothing more. Which at this point sounds like he's Ian employee lol
Yes. He can still do those rants. Because he himself is a creator. Da fukk? Fam. Y’all buggin out. For all y’all know. Joe is the one who came up with the subjects to speak on and all that shyt. And they just came in and bounced off of him. Just because they were there. Don’t mean they were creators. They were employees.

Did u not hear him speaking on how Spotify didn’t even really give a fukk about Mal and Rory? And how they didn’t even want them nikkas on the billboard in NYC? It’s HIS shyt bruh. They weren’t employees. These companies didn’t even look at them the way y’all trying to paint them. Lol. This is madness. Lol

Who knows what Spotify told Ian who told Joe....and Spotify wanted the Podcast based on the traffic that it was generating which was based on people listening to Joe, Rory and Mal.

But based on your logic Rosenberg is the creator. He came up with the idea, set up the studio and Executive Produced the show initially.

I've never seen so many ignorant, misinformed, and/or gullible people congregating in 1 place. This thread is the hip-hop equivalent of those rednecks storming the capital :snoop:

Easy logic blowing right by yall simple minds...

If Rory and Mal didn't ask for equity should the Podcast start earning back when they all did it for free, and be promised some, they are owed nothing. It's fine that they later asked for it, but its also fine Joe said no.

Joe created music, JoeBuddenTV, part of creating Slaughterhouse, now this Pod. Rory and Mal joined up. They helped make it blow up, but that don't make them creators. So this situation doesn't contradict all his creator talk at all.

Next, anybody comparing this podcast to a startup in equity talk should log off. Absolutely not comparable business models, plus the entertainment industry has always moved different.

Also, Joe said Rory and Mal were the ones who asked for contracts. If he obliged and was not only meeting but exceeding what was negotiated, the end. If their contracts didn't say they could see the books, he didn't need to show them the books. His Spotify issue was that his contract said they would give him data and then they didnt.

Last and most importantly, in all of Joe's flame out situations.... Complex, Spotify, etc.... he thought he deserved more and demanded more. They said no. SO HE LEFT. Rory and Mal asked for more, Joe said no, and they chose to stay and complain, and possibly conspire behind the scenes.

Where is the hypocrisy in any of this? Joe is a hypocrit for many things, but not this.

Joe has fumbled every one of these situations publicly in how he has discussed them and unnecessarily burned every bridge. But his thinking and decision making on how he has moved makes absolute sense :yeshrug:

this, his reasoning for a lot of his ventures ending always makes sense for the most part, but his whole attitude to putting it on blast publicly is the most self destructive thing he could do and he does it every time lol

I’ll say this. This was the best thing for Rory and Mal. Both them nikkas been positioning themselves for life after this shyt. It’ll show soon

Hell no, their best move was get paid for adlibbing for Joe while using their platform for other things

But no matter what Joe says, if your contract says you are entitled to a certain percentage of profits then you deserve to see the numbers

Ian and Joe stated that they estimated how much profit would be remaining and paid them percentage.

Since the Spotify deal is over there has to be a true up of the numbers and parties should be made whole

if you were paying me 3% of the profit and you estimated that you were going to make 10,000 and gave me 3,000. If in the end you made $20,000 in profit then I’m entitled to that other 3,000

I think they’re going to sue Joe, I think giving them more money after the Spotify deal ended was some hush money

Same but I want to hear what the two bums have to say. It sounds incredibly simple from Joe, and Parks being there makes you wonder. So I gotta hear about the money from them. If Mal wasn’t such a loser obsessed with sounding cryptic/prophetic he could have told us yesterday.

Parks a successful job outside of the podcast though, whereas Rory and Mal aren’t doing shyt of relevance. Sure Rory “manages” a group that isn’t relevant, and he pays for studio time to record a compilation album that will bomb...but that’s it. Anyone else could have made this work. Hell you could have worked a regular ass job too and lived comfortably between both paychecks.
