Well to specify for me, I can relate to the Black men convos from men of a certain age. Rory is white and Mal is too cool for school so he either wouldn't share or act above it.
What’s funny is that the only thing that’s changed is instead of Joe making fun of Rory as a crutch he now just calls Ish old
but the conversations have not changed at all it’s just that a lot of JPB fans felt more connected to Joe, Rory and Mal and won’t allow themselves to hear the new guys the same way

I don’t think mal has a lot of experience with women (that was the word on him on Twitter back in the days) so that’s probably why he doesn’t participate in those convos

Ice and Ish def give the podcast a more mature vibe. Rory is a few yrs younger than everyone else, and Mal seems to be in his second childhood. I'm almost 40 tho, so the mature vibe is my lane. Either way, Joe gonna step on their input/discussions to the show. The fact that Joe said he envisions him being on the podcast by himself in the future tells me everything I need to know about how he feels about "co-hosts".
It's not that they won't allow themselves to, they can't, lol. The fans of the podcast have known Mal and Rory and the chemistry with them and Budden for years and years and years...that is the Joe Budden Podcast, them 3.
...You throw 2 new dudes on there, 2 dudes most of the fanbase don't know, and think it's gonna be the same? How?? The listeners have no rapport with these guys. Budden would have been better off just doing the podcast by himself, as in only him on the screen, while the other off-screen people that the listeners know chime in but off-screen...that sense of familiarity is important when shyt changes. Do that for a couple weeks while saying you will be bringing in 2 new good friends soon, explain who they are and your history and some funny stories, etc... to warm the listeners up to them...then bring them on. You can't just shock the audience by throwing 2 strangers up there immediately out of nowhere and yelling "Action!", it looks ridiculous.
