Never seen this thread before but here's some advice for the basement nikkas women bashing 24/7. Go hard in the gym, spend a little more money and time on clothes and hygeine than anime, videogames, comics, toys....and you'll find you a lady or she will come to you and make your life a little happier. Cause got damn some of you nikkas need a hug

Discipline = Freedom

Ideas are worthless , it's all about the execution.
Real talk, I got a lot of ideals but don't have the discipline to execute :mjcry: I got work to do fam.

Plus I found out I worked all this hard for a bachelors to find out a bachelors ain't worth a damn if you ain't got experience. They don't want a nikka to be great fam :mjcry:

Speaking as a habitual fukk up, one of the few things I've got to co-sign as a constant positive is books.

FUKKING READ

Tuff fiction/ literature, philosophy, journalism. Learn what ppl smarter than you have taken the time, concentration and cost to commit to print. Go fukk with your local bookseller. The price of admission is ridiculously low compared to films/games/graphic novels and whatnot.

Seek a purpose for what you do, but realize you don't always "need" a purpose. There is a difference. The need for one is a need for validation, seeking one is more a lantern to guide your path. These purposes change throughout life as you accomplish goals. Always remember it takes a tree many seasons to bare fruit. Stay up

Slow down,

What you get your degree in ?
Well I got 1 more class to complete before I get it but I'm getting a degree in Health and Nutrition Science with a minor in African America History.

:mjcry: Not really any jobs out there that accept that from what I'm seeing.

Learn to have a good time without destroying yourself or putting your life at risk. In other words, don't do anything stupid.

Another thing I been hearing from old people lately 70 and up
Everything we do is a habit, its not hard to stop if you understand why you want to stop
One of them you can do anything you put your mind to type deals, apparently its something I need to stop doing though

1. The people at your job are not your friends. You are there for money and that's it. Don't over share and give them anything to use against you. The only reasons you should ever give for not showing up to work is "family matter" or "personal event." The real reason is none of their fukking business. And don't ever sign shyt!

2. Avoid sales jobs as much as possible(this includes any kind of job at a big box store), they are all designed to fukk you over eventually. The farther you get from your teens the less you should work in them unless you're going for management.

3. While working towards your dream job or career, i'd suggest working for a union shop, government, or at the hospital. Working in a unionized operation minimizes the level of bullshyt you have to deal with from management and gives you an extra layer of protection. If I had it to do over again, i'd have started at UPS or the rail road as soon as i turned 18 and picked up a second job at the post office. A Hospital is a good place because once you're in you can move in virtually any direction and there's always a shyt load of OT.

p.s. I'd add airports to my list of favorables but I don't have any direct knowledge of them. They just seem to hire a lot.

Always
I'm 27 and I'm going to give the advice I'd give to myself when I was 17-24.

Personal advice:
  • Being scared is normal. What we fear is the unknown, so fear is ignorance. Failure is impossible when confronting a fear because a choice is made to learn what isn't known, that is an accomplishment.
  • If there isn't a move to make don't move.
  • Memories are lessons and self examination allows someone to explore memories and learn from them.
  • Challenge yourself everyday and never quit on yourself.
  • Being healthy is more valuable than money because success is a marathon not a wind sprint. Sacrificing health for wealth will result in using wealth to buy health.

Professional advice:
  • Don't trust coworkers.
  • The sooner you start a business the sooner you learn to run one. If you don't want to start a business get into management ASAP and learn how to run a business while working for someone. Associates don't learn shyt about running a business.
  • Always aim to be the boss because you can eliminate threats to you and take advantage of more things than people beneath you.
  • Learn about every company you work for. Don't just work for anyone. Have long term career vision and consider your resume.
  • Money isn't everything. Sometimes you have to make slow money or small checks to get to the big checks. Everyone has to pay dues.
  • Old people have the most game. Learn everything you can from them.

Romantic advice:
  • Decide if you want to get married early so you don't waste time. Being a player is fun and so is dating, but if you're half assing either you'll fail. Commit to a lifestyle.
  • Dating is hard as fukk. It's necessary because it teaches you a lot about yourself whether its a good or bad experience.
  • Sex isn't a big deal. Good sex is a big deal.
  • Let things happen organically, never force anything because you will lose.
  • If it feels wrong it's wrong. Trust your gut feelings.
  • Don't let attraction cloud your vision most people are trying to exploit you.
  • Know when to lie and when to be honest. The truth hurts and people are sensitive. Information is a currency when dating.
