I ordered my gloves last night. I'm really going in now!!

:scusthov: I couldn't keep spending 2-3 min using machine wipes to wipe the inside of the gloves the gym had.

Let me type this in caps because this is something that applies in life.

KILL YOUR EGO. Anything or anyone that blows that shyt up is not helping you. Take things in stride. That's what the downfall of this generation will be. Ego. Social media is centered around this. Blowing up its users ego.

More to add.

Because my home life is so tumultuous, I freely give my heart out, which leaves me vulnerable to be taken advantage of. It's happening now, and it's always happened.

My kindness isn't because I'm weak, but because I'm simply kind...right?

Or am I really just that weak?

You need better emotional boundaries. Nothing wrong with caring or being kind, but everyone isn't going to value that. Gotta learn when and to whom to open up your heart to. Everyone doesn't deserve it or know how to handle it with care.

Invest in a public speaking club such as Toastmasters.I know in our community we dont promote this but public speaking will help you. This will give you improved interview skills, presentation for school. If your a nervous, shy, introvert still go thru with it.Good communication and speaking skills will get you farther then you expect.

People in general ain't shyt. They're trash, they will step on you to win and generally have no real boundaries and so on when it comes to what they want. As another poster touched on, they're selfish. Whether in personal, professional or romantic relationships ... it doesn't matter. In general, people are flat out trash. Not all of them, but in general. No better than any of us.

I say that to say that if anything, people are gonna people. The sooner you understand that, the better off you will be. Control what you can control and the rest handles itself.

Learn who you are and what you're about as soon and as extensively as you can. Stand on that when it comes to big decisions.

In matters of dating/the heart, don't expect anyone to love you if you can't love yourself. That shyt permeates you.

Try to surround yourself with friends/people that can offer you a different perspective on things. People you can learn from, but most importantly, people who rock with you for being yourself.

Don't give a fukk about societal standards/norms, especially for people who are concerned about lagging behind in life or not doing what you felt you would have done by a certain age. Trust that God/fate/you wouldn't put yourself in a situation that you're not ready to handle/couldn't benefit from at that time. And yes, it's possible to learn from falling on your face.

Don't get wrapped up in people's life thinking they are richer and happier than you just because they have a nice house, nice whips and always on trips...I know people like that that seem to have everything in life but behind closed doors they are miserable because they are in debt, or have severe family issues

Well I got 1 more class to complete before I get it but I'm getting a degree in Health and Nutrition Science with a minor in African America History.

:mjcry: Not really any jobs out there that accept that from what I'm seeing.
What's your ideal field you want to enter ?

Sidenote *
Have you ever thought about teaching / being a substitute ?

I did that for 8 months after graduation and it was a GREAT stepping stone . There was more than enough time to apply to jobs / networking while on the clock .

All it takes is a 3 hr test on highschool level math & writing ( a joke ). 6 months in I landed an ideal position & the transition was seemless . Teaching was a dope experience.

Why should you leave your hometown?

Man there's plenty of reasons.

Off top, not knowing one single person in X amount of miles is empowering. Your able to have unlimited amount of first impressions , can recreate your own identity, the amount of realization come in tenfold , zero drama ( indirect it directly ) occurs, distractions like family and friends ( sounds bad I know ) are eliminated.

Almost creates a no excuse zone for you to focus and level up .

& The cool part is you appreciate your friends and family more than ever. So when you visit, it's a celebration.
