Man what happened in that 2nd half, Bryce was playing well and the wheels just fell off out of nowhere.

I know one thing I've noticed is that, once the 2nd half hits, it feels like y'all abandon the pass damn near and just try to kill the clock.

It was good seeing Bryce run a bit more, hopefully they let him keep doing that and watch out with those rpos to the middle of the field, NW started sitting on those int the 4th.

We win because of our coach man

:francis:

He needs some serious work on his clock management and situational awareness skills. Has he challenged a single call all season? Not sure what the exact play was but he's on the sideline yelling at the ref but if he would have simply challenged the play would have been overturned. There have been multiple plays this and last season that should have been challenged but weren't.

I'm still baffled why he decided to take a time out before the 3rd & 5 with under a minute left when NW only had 1 timeout left and could have got the ball back. It worked out in the end but at some point these things will bite you. There have been multiple times where the ball has been snapped with 20+ seconds on the play clock while punting or running a play before the 2 min when you didn't need to. Some of these things are just so sloppy and makes it hard to hear "There's some things we need to clear up" then see the exact same things week after week.

I'm not saying fire the man but can't just turn a blind eye to his shortcomings.

I’m not here to excuse that

But i watched jim throw a steel chair against a wall for multiple drives

Being predictable always running on first down, remember begging for him to switch up and Moore was apart of it

Yeah both picks, he just got baited by the defender and the fumble definitely felt like he sped himself up and panicked.

The Semaj fumble was crazy cause he clearly recovered it, but the ref just said fukk it and signaled it quick to NW.

i'll be honest man...idk why you gotta sunny-side this situation rn

i'm not saying firing him (nor am I speaking for @intra vires) but in this game:
  • Going into the game with Semaj Morgan on special teams
  • Going for it on 4th and 1 in the fourth on the 25 yard line instead of kicking a FG when down by 1
  • featuring the passing game when you've already thrown two INTs, and bryce is rattled even after a good start
  • soft zones when they were playing man well
The defense played well...that is the only thing that tactically worked and even then they gave up a 21-3 lead and damn near lost this game.

Its some hoke level decision making we're seeing right now

I mean when Sherrone was allegedly taking over playcalling to run the ball repeatedly, everyone started crying for Chip. That criticism is a bit unfair. Also even with the bad interceptions, Bryce had his best game by the advanced metrics. The team put up 500 yards of total offense.

Semaj should sit but there is no one behind him. The team is young and banged up.

The 4th and 1 was aw ild decision no argument there.

@DropTopDoc .. question..

Last year:

- Bad clock management.
- Bad decisions on offense.
- Terrible substitutions (I.e. leaving guys like Senaj in there to fukk shyt up)
- Regressing OLine play.
- Undusciplined (penalties, missed tackles etc)

This year:

- Bad clock management.
- Bad decisions on offense.
- Terrible substitutions (I.e. leaving guys like Senaj in there to fukk shyt up)
- Regressing OLine play.
- Undusciplined (penalties, missed tackles etc)

Whose fault is that?

I’m on record. Sherrone’s mid as fukk and we should move on. Not because I don’t like him. Not because I didn’t want his to succeed. But because he’s in over his head.

We should be building momentum off of the natty. We’re regressing. Period.

In what world did the Oline regress? Its a nearly freshmen Oline up for the Joe Moore award and mauling teams in the run game...

I’ll rebuff you

Our coach is starting freshman at multiple positions, if better was out there idk if they wouldn’t be playing by now, I’m not there so i can’t call it, but i got a feeling it’s not due to some loyalty

Given your kicker has had a bad day, maybe just maybe you trust your line thats playing well to get you A yard, Moore can’t carry the zone read, our freshman qb got greedy, riding the exchange, just hand it off man

You have to pass and keep nw from selling out, establish confidence back in your freshman, and not grind your last decent rb to a nub, don’t know if you was watching but them boys were laying wood (paws) 24 was sore and beat up and he only had been in as the sole back for the last 9 or so minutes, them boys were smacking him

They got the ball back, look we had turnovers in some very bad spots field wise, and our corners who were doing well, all of a sudden are struggling to stay on their feet and in stride with wrs, nw was throwing 50/50 go balls and Mf’s falling, letting future accountants getting 30 yard chunks on us

I’m not sunshine, but Mf’s have bad games, you survive them and move on, hopefully our true freshman is learning from these mistakes, and him and the oc get better together

I’m more hurt we may have lost Marshall man

I agree with all of this and Marshall xrays came back negative thankfully.

Wanna take a guess why (outside of injuries) freshman are starting? I’ll give you a hint. Because the upper classman aren’t any good. Bad development)

Bad development or mediocre recruiting because Jim kept flirting with the NFL and saying fukk NIL?

8-1 gtech was in a dog fight witu 1-9 Boston college

Michigan fans cant see the upside of a nearly freshman team for 2026 and 2027 and want to can the coach and actually risk setting the program back :skip:

I think we finish 9-3. Sherrone has 3 obvious decisions to make 1. Fire JB Brown and upgrade special teams 2. Fire Wink (good DC but too blitz drunk) 3. Drop a bag on an elite WR to pair with Marsh

People complaining about airing the ball out with Bryce are the same ones who will say we need better WRs but also will complain about Sherrone running it 40 x in a row. The Oline criticism is wild to me since the run game is DOMINANT and the pass pro is league average.

I think wink is fine, but unless you got a home run, don’t pull the trigger, i think you bolster your polo portion of your staff to help with the little stuff.

I agree we have to target wrs fast guys too, to blow the top off,

I think we are fine but you can’t expect 21-23 Michigan and we don’t have that level of senior talent

Peyton O'Leary. Not explosive at all, but sure handed.

So are you watching the games, or are you going by another Joe Moore award semifinalist invite? We've got elite run blocking with absolute mediocre pass pro. Does that scream Joe Moore to you?
Bad development or mediocre recruiting because Jim kept flirting with the NFL and saying fukk NIL?
I think you need to look up the definition of mediocre. Unless you're one of the fans that thinks we need 5 stars and high 4 stars littered throughout 2 deep.

Jim flirting fukked us tho, no doubt.

Who said that? :lupe:
and want to can the coach and actually risk setting the program back
So you accept mediocrity and you're ok with attributes that have been installed in our identity, going to shyt. The same attributes that won us a natty. Cool. We LITERALLY do ONE good thing as a team. And that's run the ball.

That's it. Literally.
I think we finish 9-3. Sherrone has 3 obvious decisions to make.
Lets see if he makes em.

Can't speak to any of this.
