Khabib vs Ferg in March... personally I think that's too long of a wait. If Khabib wins he's not gonna fight in July for religious reasons so idk when they would book that Conor fight

i know dana said he has no plans for connor in the next 10 months but, it's kind of hard to see that. i really can't see connor taking a year off, that's just too much time especially when he knows he's at his peak. it really wouldn't surprise me if he came back the end of 2017 (nov/dec)

Of course end of the year August/Sept the earliest. If his issue is stress on his girl and that's bad for the baby I respect it that's a valid reason. Also Conor taking a break is good for him too. So it's a win win.

The UFC has become a damn joke. Why are they having an interim title fight when Conor is the champ

They pulled that same bullshyt with Holloway and Petis at featherweight.

Because they are trying to prevent the mess that happened at FW. If Connor fancies taking a year off the division can move on. Khabib becomes the interim and defends it if he wants or waits for Connor. Either way that title makes him number contender regardless of if an aldo makes the jump or a fighter on a streak has an exciting win against someone in the top 5.
