Homer? Who is Homer?
Because he's black and a dominant champion...Serious question though... why do so many people hate Jon Jones so much?![]()
When have whites ever liked this?

For me and a lot of other people:
1) He's steamrolled fan favorites and 'old school' legends. Shogun, Rampage (recently, not as much) and Machida all have a very strong fan base. Memories of Bones/Shogun still get to me![]()
that shyt was sad/scary to watch. Jones made a Chute Boxe student tap to strikes. That's a statementI hear you, I go out of my way to NOT watch the Shogun fight whenever it airsthat shyt was sad/scary to watch. Jones made a Chute Boxe student tap to strikes. That's a statement

Because he's black and a dominant champion...
When have whites ever liked this?
When Mike Tyson was the most popular athlete? Anderson Silva? Rampage? Overeem.
People hated Jones since way before the Shogun fight. The only difference is more people heard him speak so more people dislike him.
They hated him since he would talk about how he was the guy who told on people in school who smoked weed.
And his constant talking about himself all the time. He's an egomaniac. Plus he's a straight up herb which is why people don't like him. He's the corniest motherfukker on the planet who just happens to be great at fighting.
Even Shogun disliked him by the time they fought. Shogun NEVER EVER had a problem or cared about his opponent ever. Even in the Chute Box VS BTT days. Jones had that whole signing belts thing which was annoying too.
Nah, that's a facade. He's an a$$hole like anyone else but pretends to be a herb to look more like a role model or something.
Either way he's a lame and a fake

lame or fake, hes the best present and future of mma
as long as he isnt dumb enough to move to heavyweight
No doubt, I'm not denying dudes ability but he's just a cornball
I'd still take him over anyone in the game 205 and under
I hope he moves to heavyweight, at least there are intriguing match ups there instead of watching him continuously wreck guys. Not to mention if Shogun and Rampage win their next fights that means potential new contenders are gone and we'll be headed for rematches.
Jones/JDS, Jones/Cain, Jones/Cormier, Jones/Werdum
I'd rather see all those fights before Silva/Jones, Silva/GSP or whatever other so called super fights there are.
Potencyyeah i aint gonna lie besides bones being real smug and talking about snitching on weed smokers in high school.. that shogun fight hurt.. and he turned on rashad real quick.. either way i dont hate him just not a big fan.. ill always catch his fights tho
and i hate how gsp gets arguments for the best p4p or being close to it for his dominance and when someone asks why he never has moved up its cause he has nothing to prove?
but he couldnt finish shields and dan hardy... while anderson, jones and shyt even bj penn back in the day beat strikers in striking and submitted bjj fighters.. anderson and bj dominated in their classes and then moved up to challenge larger fighters.. its like gsp will never try and push himself or test his limits.. if he is still making his way to their level then he should fall back when mentions of p4p come around
Funny that because the point I made earlier about the insignificance of UFC ranking was totally lost between your ears..Perfect example was griffin's LHW titleshot.Fresh off of TUF and he faces mr no name, elvis sonsic and tito. Ppl say the tito fight was a robbery but he still lost. Then they start talkin title shot outta the blue & he loses to keith fukin jardine..I pretty much agree with your assessment, aside from the subbing Anderson part. A submission win is possible for Jones, but it's NOT going to be done with ease and it's not going to happen anytime he feels like it.
I think Jones would win as well. I just believe that in the time the fight remains standing, Anderson's odds of getting a stoppage are pretty good.
@ Bolded. When GSP fought BJ Penn the first time he [BJ] was ranked as either the 1st or 2nd best WW in the world. He was also in the top 5 pound for pound rankings. YOU'RE A fukkIN IDIOT for this one. When he fought BJ Penn the second time, he [BJ] was the consensus #1 LW and again, top 5 pound for pound fighter in the world. Also, BJ went up in weight and CHALLENGED GSP for the title.
When GSP fought Thiago Alves, Thiago was the consensus #2 WW in the world. Alves was known for his excellent TDD to go along with his world-class striking. GSP still took him down, beat him up, and out-striked him with absolute EASE. The number 2 WW in the world is not a good win? I don't know what to say to an idiot like you.
Dan Hardy was a top 4-6 WW when GSP beat him.
Shields was a top 3 WW when GSP beat him, he was also ranked in the top 10 pound for pound. Also, his wins over Okami, Daley, Condit, Kampmann and Miller didn't happen all of sudden? That's good to know.
The reason Serra got a chance at GSP was because both TUF 4 winners got title shots [Cote with the MW title and Serra]. Also, when GSP faced him the second time, Serra was ranked as a top 2 WW.
So you're discrediting wins over: - BJ Penn x 1 (top 2 WW and top 5 pound for pound]
- BJ Penn x 2 [#1 LW and top 5 pound for pound]
- Dan Hardy [top 4-6 WW]
- Thiago Alves [# 2 WW in the world, second to only GSP]
- Jake Shields [top 2 WW and top 10 pound for pound]
WOW, you're a lot fukkin dumber than I thought.

Only in reality he didnt beat bisbing and usually when a win is shrouded in doubt like that dana holds off on handing titleshots. But not in this instance & fyi the main title shot I was talking about was the jones one & the instant one he was granted before he got popped WHICH WAS RIDICULOUS!!!. I don't really have a problem with his second title shot as well. He was coming off 2 good wins (Bisping and Stann) and he was the #2 MW in the world (behind only Andy). I would've liked one more good win, but what actually happened definitely wasn't ridiculous in any sense.
And? if thats to be his last why not go out how u entered by swaggin on a much heralded TUFerThe main reason why AS wants Bisping is because the fight will very likely be the easiest title defence he's ever had
Silva is on his way out & weidman is undefeated for now.You put them together 2morrow & AS takes his soul before retiring. Then what are you left with? you just poo'd on 1 of the div brightest prospects for a fight that wont even do numbers cuz no one knows weidmanWeidman is much more deserving than Bisping. It's not even close.

This should have placed him in no where land but somehow a fight against ramirez and a shogun fresh off the shnide catapults him to number 1 contender? somehow shogun's accomplishments from japan was frozen (during the merger) to fit into their narrative of propping whoever beat him.But fedor who shunned them was just another guy?
its that kind of skewed logic is why I dont put so much credence in rankings because for the most part its all about timing/circumstance/perception not skill/talent..The way I gauge a fighters worth is who they've beaten & how.You mention alves was this and that when he faced gsp but other than an old hughes (coming off injury) & out of shape kos (who did zuffa a solid) hes just been handed favorable matches against one dimensional fighters with no wrestling. Any time he faces grapplers with a full camp he loses so that rank u hold so dear was a mirage. You mention hardy being as high as 4th best WW at some point, for beating who? gono? markam? going 3 rds with prelim extraordinaire davis or injury prone swick?

Bisbing doesnt have the cache of being undefeated in the ufc but hes a name and hes toiled. You put bis's last 4-5 wins up against weidman's whole career & it makes no difference
The aforementioned rankings were taken from numerous REPUTABLE MMA SITES. .
according to who? disregarding my post or finding it hard to comprehend and piling on more of the same is validation for you?Why are you still arguing? you were proven wrong when talking about GSP and his wins, yet you still keep going.
at this clown. You are really feeling yourself eh
Jake Shields in his entire career [35 fights, spanning over 13 years] has been finished twice. Why are people acting like finishing Shields is some-sort of easy task? He's a very tough fighter to finish. Condit, Okami, Dan Henderson, Lawler, Jason Miller, Daley, Sakurai and Kampmann are some of the people who have failed to finish Shields. That's a very impressive list, on top of that, he's beaten every single one of those fighters.
