If your comparing how good of a MMA wrestler sum1 is, u gotta compare their records then. Who has Weidman beat to earn this rep? Henderson's mma record is a who who of mma all time. If ur talking about outside mma Henderson is a former Olympian. I'm sorry, but out wrestling Deman Maia, who fights at 170 now proves absolutely nuthin to me.

We have never seen Weidman get out-wrestled. Hendo was recently out-wrestled by Shogun of all people and Shields as well. There is no way either of these fighters out-wrestles Weidman.

When was the last time Hendo got the better of a fighter in the wrestling department?

This is the reason why I was comparing a guys fighter record, how can we sit here and say, well Weidman has never been out wrestled so he's a top mma wrestler now, when he hasn't really faced ne body? His top 2 guys faced are Munoz and Maia. Munoz got dominated by Hamil. and Maia went down a weight class now cuz he cldn't handle these bigger guys at 185.

Again, ur bringin up the Shogun fight, a fight that hendo won. And Shogun even at this stage of his career is better than any1 Weidman has ever faced. My thing is this, you can't compare weidman to hendo and say Weidman is better when he hasn't proved anything yet in the world of mma compared to hendo. Hendo has taken down Anderson Silva, Hendo has beaten Fedor. Really who da F is weidman besides some smokescreen num1 contender dana n da ufc is trying to build up to the fans.

never knew beating maia and munoz was something to brag about these days.

Some of the stuff you're saying Screwface Exchange has me going :wtf:

Some of da stuff ur saying really has me thinkin ur on sumthin. Out of all da mma fights and organizations that have been talked about in here, and some of the classic fights that we've all witness. I dunno how ne1 can talk up weidman and his weak record of accomplishments in mma when in comparison to dan henderson.

Dis guy Weidman has only even faced, 1 top 10 ranked ufc fighter and thats Munoz. And really i dunno why munoz is even ranked inthe top 10. he hasnt won in the ufc ring in over a year and half. and his last win was over chris leben, again not exactly a highly skilled top 10 fighter.

Really, UFC shld b pushin n forcing gsp vs silva fight while they still cn and both guys r healthy. Let weidman build up sum real hype and face maybe a costa phililpou or even a tim boestch fukk even every1s fav villiam bisping. beat those in highlight fashion. then let him talk about bein num1 contender n ish. i dont blame silva n his ppl for not wanting this fight. its not worth the risk

We are arguing bout who is the better MMA wrestler. What does beating beating Fedor have anything to do with that? The Fedor/Hendo fight had virtually zero wrestling exchanges. Well, actually, Hendo had that one failed TD attempt.

Almost all of what you're posting has zero relevance as to who is a better MMA wrestler.

So what if Hendo won the Shogun fight, he got OUT-WRESTLED in that fight. Which is why I brought that fight up.

Not that big of a lose. Anderson's participation at conferences is always the same, the head nod [yes or no], 'I train very hard for this fight', his typical Portugese response [for a guy who's supposed to have competent english]

I used to not like that about him -- but now it's part of what I like about his entire character. He is himself. I guess you can say he has an obligation to be showman because his fighting is supposed to be entertainment. But really he does his job - he fights and wins (like in his next fight how he will score a tko in the second round against this wrestler). fukk speaking english.. The most proficient fighting styles don't come from English speaking nations... and he would love fighting if the UFC didn't exist - so why should he have to use his English? All people are going to do is make fun of his noun verb usage anyway.. I'm glad that he only speaks English around his fam and boys.

In his defense, Hendo had a back injury going into that fight- I think he would have beaten Shields if that wasn't the case

Your talking MMA wrestling and who has Weidman out wrestled? Maia? he's faced scrubs. The 1 guy with a wrestling pedigree was Munoz who got up both time after the take downs, and the fight was ended while standing and trading, not on the ground.

Hendo took down Silva for the 1st round, one of the best there is in MMA. I hold that above anything Weidman has done against scrubs.

Demian Maia vs Chris Weidman | MMA fight videos

my mans would have to be wayyyy more aggressive and have better top control than this to get outta the first round with silva.. i can see why he didnt want to do too much but gain points for a takedown but yall keep quoting this fight as some type of measure of his bjj/wrestling i dont think yall remember this fight..

not even gonna speak on the lack of cardio since he took the fight on short notice

imo this fight was a complete disaster and shouldn't be counted as anything really. For both Maia and Weidman. Maia was beyond sick. He had a terrible flu. Very bad. And Weidman had that weight cut which completely drained him. Like I said it shows a tiny bit like Weidman willing to go for the sub and it shows how tough Maia is in not giving up but this fight is really better off just never being talked about.

Just like the Mir VS Roy Nelson fight where Roy had a sever case of pneumonia. Sometimes you have to just forget those fights. lol.

I dunno why the fury cats have towards Anderson passing on showing up is so funny to me. Especially because I'd be mad if certain other fighters did it. :russ:

All I could hear when Dana announced the fine was

"What's 50 grand to a muthafukka like me, wont you please remind me" Jay-Z

It's not a surprise or anything but Shane Carwin has officially retired.

Damn I was thinking about him the other day and saying Silva should possibly match him with Overeem. Got started way too late in the business. He would have been an absolute beast in the HW division 10 years ago

Documentary for charismatic Ultimate Fighting Champion Georges St-Pierre and dynamic MMA fighter David "The Crow" Loiseau. The movie follows the two fighters over the past four years, starting with UFC 58 USA vs. Canada where Loiseau was fighting for the championship against Rich Franklin and Georges was the co-main event against BJ Penn. The film juxtaposes their two careers with St. Pierre's meteoric rise to UFC champion and Loiseau facing personal challenges.
