exactly. Their fighters would shine anywhere else. Bellator has TERRIBLE production. Super boring and cheap. A dirty mat, terrible promo packages, bad lighting. And they fight in these cheap midwestern indian casionos.It's not the fighters that's the problem. If they just moved all of the fighters elsewhere you'd have a good org.

They're TERRIBLE at making stars. How many years have they been around? They don't even have one clear star right now. I doubt even pretty hardcore fans could name their champs.

Their production leaves a lot to be desired, but its not THAT bad. The lighting in person is actually pretty good. Im not sure what youre talking about the fights being boring...the circular cage makes for a more action dictated fight. Theres not as much holding on the cage as in the octagon.


You bring up all these negatives, but they have a good product, and the move to Spike is only going to make it better.

Gotcha. I think theyre just suffereing from being a small fish in a big ocean right now. Itll get better, theyre just hitting the big time right now.

I've worked with their Public Relations director and talked to the CEO, theyre very in tune with what the fans want.

Yeah I liked Bellator when they were on the local sports affiliate and then never watched when they moved to MTV2 since I don't get that channel. TNA Wrestling made a similar jump and it would be interesting to see how they compare and contrast in a business model on Spike TV. It's pretty obvious that FX will counter program next season with the ultimate fighter, but the big question is do people (casuals think of) Spike as the go to for MMA, which oddly seems to be the case. Also if you every want to get retweeted by Dana White, just say I can't wait to watch the prelims on Spike...fyi.

nah the 15th in Australia is Friday here. So it's Dec 14, 2012 10:00 PM EST

still watching. If anyone wants to see what I meant about kids being terrible for BJ's career just watch this show. Nothing wrong with it but it's definitely a factor for BJ.

BJ especially seems quite "domesticated" now as they said in Rocky.

It's great to see for the person Jay Penn, but for the "fighter" that was kind of scary to see. Rory has a near psychotic way about how he fights that could really make things go bad for BJ and in a hurry too.

I like Rory but I hope he's listening to/believing in the hype because i'd love to see him get humbled a bit because he has been REALLY feeling himself in these interviews etc leading up to the fight.
