GSP has always accepted every challenger at his weight class. He's not the type to pick and choose his opponents.

This fight was made because Diaz is a much bigger draw than Hendricks. It had very little to do with GSP wanting a 'gimmie fight'.

The Sonnen situation is not really comparable to the Frankie one. Frankie lost two very close fights (most people and MMA sources had the second fight for Frankie), while Sonnen was finished in both his title fights. Yes, Frankie should've had one or two fights at FW before getting a chance at Aldo, but what actually happened is understandble. Who doesn't want to see Frankie vs Aldo? This is pretty much a super fight.

I don't think it's really too crazy. There's two guys right now that have earned legendary career/alltime great status in UFC right now. That's GSP and Silva. If they both ask for one thing that fukks the division up a little bit then you do it. They're not giving Nick something, they're giving GSP something.

GSP VS DIAZ is a fight people want. They fighters want it. Do it while they're both in their primes. They've fukked up too many fights to name by not booking them in their prime. I like it.

I do have beef with Big Ronda headlining. I'm not trying to see that shyt at all. Especially against Carmouche who isn't even that good.

Agree with bolded. GSP has taken on every WW the UFC has put in front of him.

Dana has always said that title fights have priority over non-title fights.

Hendricks should say yes if he's not getting the title shot. A pay day and another 1st round KO of a nae opponent on his ledger. Maybe even add another KOTN too.

honestly, i'd rather see diaz vs gsp but hendricks definitely deserves a title shot more than nick does. so yeah, it's a pretty shytty decision...which, sadly, is on par with a lot of match-ups that the ufc has been making lately.

on the the bright side, if that fight gets made we can stop with all the gsp-silva bs teasers when we all know that fight is never gonna happen. well, stop it for a while, at least.

Why would anyone want to see Diaz Vs. GSP? GSP will destroy him not saying he wouldn't destroy Hendricks but atleast he has a puchers chance.

well, for me, it's cuz i love watching diaz fight, even knowing he's gonna be on his back most of the time. also, nick seems to seriously piss gsp off and maybe that'll light a fire hot enough to bring him back to his ass kicking days.

Ehhh GSP is such a cerebal fighter even though he's mad he will keep his composure and take Diaz down at will.

diaz is the most dangerous opponent for a lay and pray fighter

maybe gsp wins on points but the longer diaz is on his back the better chance he can submit gsp

i expect gsp to keep this fight standing, he doesnt want to deal with diazs guard

I honestly feel cofident that Diaz has no chance to submit GSP, and GSP knows that.

he better finish the fight then because the lay and pray aint gonna work with diaz, hes too skilled on his back

gsp will keep it standing where diaz really has no chance
