am I the only one that thinks the toughest matchup out there for Cain right now is Fabricio Werdum? style wise

Nope

It's no secret that Cains gonna want to take the fight to the ground.. Werdum won't allow him to get good position. There were quite a few times jds could have done something from the bottom. I don't think Cain is a much better striker than werdum either

I don't think anyone in the HW will hold that title too long. So many talented HW coming into MMA these days.

Against Werdum, I think Cain would mix it up. He'll keep Werdum on his toes with takedowns, clinch work and striking exchanges. Plus, it's difficult to submit someone as active/'heavy' on the ground as Cain.

One of the most exciting fighters in MMA. The UFC should sign him and feed him primarely strikers. Imagine the possibilities :wow: Who wouldn't want to see: Belfort/Manhoef, Stann/Manhoef, Leben/Manhoef, etc.

it would have been a perfect time to have a robbie lawler rematch in a ufc setting

I don't disagree with you. However Werdum has been great in the clinch as of late, especially against Roy. He's still gotta be careful with his position in with him tho, he only needs a small Window. Potential great fight.. Nice mix of styles

I was just going to mention that Werdum's clinch work in the Nelson fight looked great. Nelson isn't Cain though, Cain's stronger and is a much better wrestler.
