...Most of the guys in his peer group were short sighted. He had a vision, stuck with it and was able to maneuver through decades of change in music and society. Nas and others were playing checkers, he was playing Sudoku 
You can throw Lil Wayne in that equation as well. You don't stay hott for that long and not be smarter/better then others.

Beyonce's music is good though. So that post is worthless
Beyonce is the best performer since MJ. Nobody is MJ and nobody ever will be. But as a female performer she's peerless. Are there people with better music? Yeah. Better singers? Yes (Tho Beyonde is a dope singer in her own right). But nobody has her overall package of music, singing, dancing and natural charisma. You can't teach that. There's a reason she connects like this more than anyone else. And don't blame it on being pushed because Rihanna (and countless others over the years) get/have gotten just as big a push, if not more, and yet they don't have near the connection with her audience that Beyonce does.

There is no other female performing who has respect from such a broad base of people from thots to Michelle Obama. She sung at an presidential inauguration for christs sake. You don't do that being a mediocre talent. I don't any grown women who actually goes out of their way to see a Rihanna concert lol. I got multiple women in my office with masters degrees who took off work as group to see the Beyonce/ Jay-Z concert. Lol my damn phone even recoginizes Knowles after I type Beyonce
