And everyone became a hipster and there's like 10 indie albums dropping per day so people have their own own favorite I guess, fewer people get their taste in music from radio or mtv nowadays. If MTV still had the power we would probably still have bs like limp bizkit dominating..
But 2 bands that did well commercially are more "folk-pop", Mumford and sons and those other dudes..

I don't think it's because I'm older. What I mean the show has no uniqueness or that thing about it MTV awards used to have. It feels like a little kids show but, the type of show that would be on disney or nickelodeon. It feels like a girls show. I can't think of the perfect words but, it feels soft and corny. Everyone looks a like, the songs are generic, and the performances are generic. They are being sexual to make up for the lack of performance. I guess entertainment has been sold out to corporations because this show feels safe. That is the perfect word, SAFE.
